3D printing everywhere

Most of the parts of the animatronic Grogu 2.0 were made with a 3D printer. I printed all prints with PLA, as it is a pleasant material to work with - I have not perceived the (compared to ABS) lower load capacity as a problem so far. Even with my Nikola Tesla bust I used PLA for load-bearing parts and there are significantly larger masses to move. I haven't had any material failures there either.

Here is an overview of all the parts I printed for the animatronic Grogu 2.0:

Eyes

The finished eye mechanic looks like this:

Eyes-Holder-eyeZPos=-2.stl

The file Eyes-Holder-old-eyeZPos=1.stl is an alternative version in case the eyes are too deep enough in the eye sockets. This was no longer the case with my model, so I didn't use the final file. If you have the problem, you can use the file.

If you want to print the eyes and holders in one piece. I printed the eyes and holders separately, as I could work better on both eyes.

Eyes-Back.stl

When using the eyes from a toy grogu (asIdid), this plate can prevent the back of the eyes from being scratched.

A single eyeball is inserted into the holder if you are not using the eyes from a Toy Grogu .

This file seems to have non-closed surfaces, which I somehow haven't been able to fix so far. I printed the file anyway and it worked.

This cable holder is screwed onto the horizontal Makerbeam and fixes the servo cables of the head as strain relief.
